The Ladies

Leanne Shear and Tracey Toomey met behind the bar, when they were both struggling to establish themselves in creative professions. Together they wrote the novel, The Perfect Manhattan (Broadway, 2005), and the essay, "Girls Can Do Anything" (It's A Wonderful Lie, 26 Truths About Life in Your Twenties, Warner Books, 2007). In addition, they each authored an essay for the upcoming anthology, Have I Got a Guy For You. Leanne and Tracey freelance for an eclectic array of publications such as Glamour, Life & Style, the Huffington Post, Hamptons magazine, Runner's World, Wiretap, and Marie Claire. Many years - and countless cocktails - later, they are no longer slinging drinks, but they remain coauthors, business partners, and best friends.
